Dear Sirs/Madam
My wife and I would like to get a divorce. She is also prepared to sign a post-nupital agreement. Can you tell me the quickest way of getting a divorce- we have no children. Just married for two years.
Thanks

Hi
Thank you for your question
I shall do my best to help you
The only two immediate grounds for divorce are that one of you has committed adultery and the other no longer wishes to live with them - or that one of you has behaved Unreasonable and the other should not be expected to live with them.
The basic process is the same in either case and it is set out here
https://www.gov.uk/divorce/file-for-divorce
If you have agreed the settlement there is no need for a Post Nuptial Agreement - you can go for a Clean Break Consent Order if you are looking at an immediate divorce - or a Separation Agreement if you are delaying the divorce for any length of time
I hope that this is of assistance - please ask if you need further details

Dear Claire

We would like to go for a clean break consent order. Simply put, my wife does not want to have children and I do. I am older than her and it has led to rows and arguments. She will not promise to have children with me which has led us to conclude that we will divorce so I can have children. We are looking for an immediate divorce. I have seen the gov.uk/divorce section and I feel it is unreasonable that before we married we agreed to have children and she has had a change of mind. We have had no intimacy for two years and we did try to reconcile but to no use. She is alot younger than I am so she doesnt want to promise anything. She also wants a divorce because of the constant arguments and insults we exchange. The help I need is filling out the form and finding the right wording to do so. Can you help me with that wording? Also to whom do I send the form? Thanks for your help. We are both relieved to be out of the relationship but are still living together but apart.

Thanks

Mark

Hi
This would indeed amount to Unreasonable behaviour.
There is no special wording - but if you wish to fill the form in and then let me have to wording you wish to use I will certainly review it for you
If you are both in agreement it need only be a mild set of allegations

Who do I send the papers too?

HI
As the website says here
https://www.gov.uk/divorce/file-for-divorce
you send it to the local County Court - with the fee.
However send three copies - then you will get one seale copy back which is always useful
