Hi, i have a son who is now 13 yrs old, he lives with his mother and she has advised me she will be contacting the csa.My question is will the csa ask for money from date of claim until he is 18 or will they backdate till d.o.b?
Have you ever paid any maintenance at all? If so, how, when, how much?
Hi i have on seen him since he was 9 yrs old, i have been giving money but only cash there are no records.
Thanks for the info.
The CSA can only backdate the claim from the date the claim was made by your ex, they cannot backdate this any further.
However, I must advise you, the CSA can be very difficult to deal with and it may be beneficial for you and your ex to come up with an agreed maintenance order.
Hi, thankyou for your answer. She is very difficult and is asking for me to set up a standing order or she will go to csa, i dont mind doing this but she keeps threatening me with the csa. I feel if i set up standing order what is to stop her from going to the csa anyway?
