sorry for delay in reply, my father died recently and left me via his Will a share in his estate. It is being processed through probate, which they advised me could take another 5/6 months to complete.
Not sure how this effects my divorce case as my wife made an offer to me prior to his death which i accepted. The thing is, does this death change my status, but due to delay in my receiving benefit of his estate, i.e his house or cash as it will not be released for some time. Is this relevant in a divorce case like mine ? can my ex wife adjust her offer to me , and what are her rights ? thankyou.
We separated january 2011, He died April 2012.
Hi, I agree that I should not apply for the endowment.
If this case was to brreak down, or my solicitor advises there is no way we can agree on the settlement, can you give a broad indication on how much a case like mine would cost if it went to court. ? Do both parties pay, or just one etc, I would hope my ex would see sense. Kind regards.
Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX much would it cost ? ££££ for example , I pay £200 per hour for my solicitor, but how much is a court process, I know there are 2 or 3 stages?
I assume my ex would be briefed by her solicitor on costs, and I hope this would be enough to pursuade her to close the case before a court date.
