My daughters husband has decided to move out of the family

Resolved Question:

My daughter's husband has decided to move out of the family home and move into a rented flat, leaving her to pay the full mortgage. The house is in joint names; there has been no separation agreement between them, although he is has agreed to fund 50% of their infant's nursery fees - but nothing else!
Am I correct in assuming that as the mortgage is in joint both their names he should be funding 50% of the payments?

Awan-Legal : Hi
Awan-Legal : This is mainly a matter for negotiation at this stage unless she proceeds to court and requests an order for him to pay towards the mortgage or it may be easier to get a family law mediator involved to negotiate an agreement between them.
Awan-Legal : The mortgage company can enforce the payments through either of them as they are joint owners.

How much is the house worth and how much is outstanding on the mortgage
How much do they each earn and how much are the nursery fees?
