I am a male date of birth 19/11/1951 and will reach age 65 on 18/11/2016.
Will I be eligible for the new State Pension if I defer taking my State Pension until after the introduction of the new State Pension Scheme in 2017?
Many thanks
Ken Brydon

As you reach the state pension age before the implementation of the single-tier pension in 2017, you will receive benefits under the current system, if you defer, you will receive an enhancement under the current system due to deferring.

Hope this helps. Please leave feedback
