Can I dismiss an employee with the normal notice period without giving any previous warnings?

Why do you wish to dismiss and how long has the employee worked with you for?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Hi, yes, she has worked for us since June 2012. We would like to dismiss her because she does not seem happy and seems to be spreading negativity, which is not good for the general atmosphere. Thanks!! Sabine

Thank you.

In that case, you may go ahead and terminate her employment by giving the notice set out in her contract, without giving previous warnings.

She cannot claim unfair dismissal as she has not worked for long enough.

All the best

Thanks so much. The notice is one week in her contract. Is this legal? Thanks so much, Sabine

1 week's notice is legal as the person has been employed for less than 2 years.
