I am employed in the UAE (Abu Dhabi) although now have moved

Customer Question

I am employed in the UAE (Abu Dhabi) although now have moved to another county on a temporary assignment. The temporary assignment has stretched from 2 weeks to now 6 weeks and it is highly likely i will be overseas for another 2 months. My firm is trying to take advantage by not providing me any benefits of the temporary employment abroad. Are there any UAE laws that protect the interst of employees such as myself. I have personal commitments in the UAE that I need to attend to but my company does not acknowledge these. Am I entitled to anything in perticular under the UAE law?

Hello,

I am afraid there is no UAE lawyer here and I am a UK lawyer.

May I assist you?
