I am in Mosman. Where can I take an old Sharp VL-PD3E for service.? (Pixellating with no sound on playback)

Already Tried:
In Nov 2010 same problems allegedly addressed by Turris Electronics. Haven't used it since then but now find same problems persist !!??

Yes please. Would still like to know if there a local expert . One adviser has told me th throw the device away but I wonder if it is salvageable enough to at least retrieve the pictures already recorded.

Have you considered that the scanning heads could be getting clogged by a rogue tape you are using?
Have you tried a head cleaning tape?it certainly sounds like clogged heads to me by the description of the fault...

Well what your saying seems like dirty heads to me
You may need to get rid of a tape that may be causing it usually the one you was using when it went faulty

Don't know. Haven't yet had time to source a cleaning tape (I'm in Mosman, Sydney, Australia). Will try to find one reasonably priced locally.
