my thomas digital tv recorder is full and I want to copy it memory to a hard drive
Hi and welcome to JustAnswer,Thank you for the question and your patience. Should you still need assistance for information purposes only... Initially, post back with the model number of the "...thomas digital tv recorder..." 41101.0810038542
The model number is XXXXXXX-XX
The Thomson DTI 6021 does not have any digital provision for transferring the contents of its 250Gb HDD to an external HDD.The USB 2.0 port at the rear is for firmware upgrades only.A possible workaround is to make use of an AV capture device where the contents of the DVR are played back in real time and then "captured" by this device and then fed to a USB port of a computer. This USB feed may then be saved as an electronic video file in the HDD of the capturing computer.Would the above approach be acceptable?
