The Thomson DTI 6021 does not have any digital provision for transferring the contents of its 250Gb HDD to an external HDD.

The USB 2.0 port at the rear is for firmware upgrades only.

A possible workaround is to make use of an AV capture device where the contents of the DVR are played back in real time and then "captured" by this device and then fed to a USB port of a computer. This USB feed may then be saved as an electronic video file in the HDD of the capturing computer.

Would the above approach be acceptable?
