Customer Question

Both HDMI ports on my toshiba Regza won't work
One of them got stressed because the cable got pulled sideways so I bought a splitter and put my freeview HD, PS3 and XBox 360 on it and used the remaining HDMI . Just tried my Macmini using a HDMI to DVI cable and now this HDMI port has stopped working - Both HDMI only show bluescreen now

Splitter isn't likely helping matters either...4 devices all connected to one HDMI, and even if you repair the main board....you still got 2 HDMI inputs and one of them is splitted.

In your situation...I seriously would THINK about using the TV for it's Component connections and as a SECOND TV in your household...Dump it off on the KIDS or the wife/significant other.

Because overall...you have every reason to consider a TV set with FOUR HDMI inputs

I don't usually PUSH buying a new one when the old one can be repaired, but in your case I DO have to make an exception. You only have 2 HDMI jacks, and 4 HDMI devices that really need to be NOT CONNECTED to a splitter.

I want you to at least THINK about it first.

If you want to fix this TV, get the TV's MODEL NUMBER.

If you want to buy a NEW TV, I'll tell you the models/brands that I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole, and the ones that I would buy myself.

It's important that we have this discussion before any commitments are made towards repair or purchase.
