Customer Question

I have a NuLink 1695 which is registered in the name of Kevin Bacon in Holland but although we live in Holland, the Garmin needs to be in English. I purchased Garmin for Lifeime map updates. During the process of updatdng the software, the wireless connection was lost. My Garmin seems now to be corrupt as the full menu does not appear when I turn it on. I erased all my information and downloaded the ugrade software again but it hasn't made any difference. Is it possible to uninstall the software and install it again?

Already Tried:
I have done a reset but it does not affect the software.

ElectronicsPete : Hello,
ElectronicsPete : I am Pete, and I'll be happy to assist you today.
ElectronicsPete : What menu options are you missing on your NuLink 1695?
Customer :

Hello Pete

Customer :

I have Where to and then View Map. If I press Tools then Settings, System has no icon, Navigatoin is distorted and there are no arrows up or down.

Customer :
ElectronicsPete : Ok, it does seem as though the firmware has become corrupted.
ElectronicsPete : Do you have the Garmin WebUpdater software installed on your computer?
ElectronicsPete : If not, you can download and run WebUpdater to repair your firmware.
ElectronicsPete : Let me know if it works, or if you need further assistance.
Customer :

Pete - I did all that and it had the option of repair, which I selected, but it is still corrupt with bits missing. I shall call the Garmin people to discuss it with them.

Hi Sonia,
If the WebUpdater is unable to repair the corrupt software, then you will need to return it to the dealer or directly to Garmin.

Pete.
