Hello
Welcome
Thanks for using JustAnswer

OK the DTV menu can go missing on these sets because of firmware glitches, you need to go into the service menu of the set by doing this>>>
With the set in standby (off)press on the remote INFO>>>MENU>>>MUTE>>>Power ON all within six seconds so the buttons need to be pressed one after the other within six seconds the set will come on in service mode (engineers mode)now using the up and down left to right arrows on the remote navigate to option 12 "reset"enter this I think with left arrow and OK this, the set should reboot itself (go off or go off and come back on again)when it does all previous settings will be lost however the DTV menu should now be available

Let me know how this goes

After your instructions it displays snowy screen with Plug and Play box showing. What now? (first time I did as you suggest I lost all BBC channels while gaining ITV channels) Earlier this evening message No Signal Constant. Help - I can only get either BBC or ITV!

Hi

OK lets go over what you have done

You got into the service menu and entered the reset option?the set should have reboot

You can now get into the DTV menu?you couldnt before

Your now using the DTV menu ?

If your seeing snow on the screen this is not the digital menu thats analogue

Please let me know if you got into the digital menu and exactly what channels you have

I did once get into the DTV menu: that is when I got the choice of either BBC channels or ITV channels. I DID get a reboot (I had to turn on again manually). Now when I turjn set on I get 'channel not found'. This continues no matter which channel number I choose to enter. This message is followed within seconds by NO SIGNAL. Menu gives the expected option to auto store channels, the result is - services found 74, channel list - 1,2,7,9,11,12,15,18,19,20,21,22,24,25,29,32,25,26,27,40,41,42,43,46,47.40.62.70.71.80.81.82.85.87.89.90.93.94.95.96.97.98.100.105.108.110,111,112,116,193,301,302. 306,700, 701, 702, 703, 704, 705, 706, 707, 708, 709, 710, 711, 712, 713, 714, 715, 718, 722, 723, 725

So why can I not get itv 1, channel 4, itv2, itv3 etc.?

Hi

For the channels that you cant get in DTV you may need to do a manual retune as the auto is not accurate at finding and locating channels, their is a technical reason why, so you will need to get the frequencys of the channels missing and manually tune into them frequencies you get these by finding out what local transmitter you are using
Their is more about this at www.digitaluk.co.uk

You unfortunately will not be able to help further. Following your latest instructions I was unable to manually retune adding missing channels as the required channel (6) is not accessible via any entry system available. I subsequently contacted Samsung by telephone and they have deduced that the problem is aerial. They advised me to contact the Switchover Help Scheme and provided the number. This I have done and am relieved to say that a technician is visiting me on Monday 18th June to check and if necessary replace the aerial. Sorry your efforts have proved fruitless. Thank you for your attention.
