humax rt531B will not work with the humax freeview receiver replaced batteries tried turning the receiver off at the mains still will not work.getting very annoyed with it it will soon go out the f*****g window.
Already Tried: turning the receiver off changed batteries to brand new ones

Do you have a digital camera or mobile phone camera? If so, grab it and them point the remote at the camera and press buttons on the remote.
If the remote is working, you should see it flashing in the viewfinder of the camera or on the phone.
If it is not blinking, the remote is bad.
Try that and let me know.
