Pioneer AM/FM Stereo Receiver SX-690Earlier this week I used the unit and it was OK. The following day I turned it on as usual, but there was no output. The unit showed response to receiving input from Radio, a Tape dec, but could not get any response re output either volume hum, or music or even any electronic clicks.Does this mean I have to ditch the whole thing or is there a easily replace component. I have repaired circuit boards before.
Already Tried: Checked internal Fuses, The dsiplay lights are all working. Input from Tape Deck showed movement on the Display, as did the AM Input. There is no Amp. output. There is no obvious sign of burn out on any components.
Hello,Thank you for using justanswer.com, my name is XXXXX XXXXX X will be glad to assist you with your concern today.
Please connect headphones and let me know if they produce sound?
Thanks,
Joe
I tried the unit with Headphones yesterday. No response
If you do not get any sound out of headphones either then please remove all connections including speakers from the receiver and try again, if the problem remains the speakers are driven off the main amp the the headphones off of the preamp, so when neither are prodcuing sound generally speaking the preamp is the problem and would need to be replaced/repaired.
If you need any further assistance just let me know.
