I have a Samsung HT-BD7200 blu-ray player but it will not play some of the newer blu-rays and I cannot get it to update the firmware. I have tried both the USB stick and CD way of updating, but it will not recognise them and does nothing
Optional Information: Make: Samsung Model: HT-BD7200 Already Tried: I have tried to update the player using a USB stick but it doesn't do anything when I plug it in.
Hello my name is XXXXX XXXXX X will be happy to assist you today.
Please click the link below and read and follow the update guide first then follow exactly step by step:
http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/search/supportSearchModelResult.do?menu=SP00&searchWord=HTBD7200&default_searchInputBox_value=Enter+model+number+or+keywords&searchInputBox=+HT-BD7200&find_button=See+all+results
Click on "firmware" and read the pgrade guide first.
If that still does not work then reset your player with no disc in, unit on or off press and hold the "FF" or "STOP" button untill the unit resets then try the update again, if the update still does not work then go into the players menu and look at the current firmware version and see if it is the same as the one you are trying to install if so then thats the problem, if not and the new one is newer then there is a problem with your device and it will need to be serviced by samsung due to the nature of the problem. However you should also note that in my opinion Samsung has became very poor with updates where they only release a few of them and then nothing more thus leaving customers where they cannot watch newer release blu-ray discs, this has been a very common problm with them for as long as I can remember to the point I no longer support their line of blu-ray players.
If you need further assistance please just let me know.
Thanks and have a Merry Christmas!
