Vehicle would not start, all lights on dash ok but did not turn when starter button pushed, dash indication start and engine management remained on
JA: Have you checked the fuses? The dashboard bulbs?
Customer: no unfortunately had to abandon car as 'm a shift worker, so nicked my daughters wheels ( which she doesn't know yet )
JA: What is the model/year of your Mazda?
Customer: Mazda 6 sport 2008
JA: Are you fixing your Mazda2 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I'm now at work and will not be able to try anything until later today,
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: very frosty night is it possible theres a short somewhere ?

The problem may be as simple as a dead battery, it could be a bad key, a module failure, wiring, a blown fuse; it will take some electrical testing to determine what is going on.

The first thing that should be addressed is the battery. Are the headlamps normal brightness?
