UK Car Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hi my name is ***** ***** I will be happy to assist with this today. In some cases I may need more info to assist better.I apologize for any delay. My info is somewhat limited on your model here but I had seen no one else has responded and would like to see if I can help here.If at any time you feel that I cannot help with this please let me know.
In some cases you can stick a siphon hose down the fuel filler neck (hose from local parts store) into the fuel tank (if it doesnt have an anti siphon ball in it) and use the siphon hand pump on it to pump the fuel into fuel containers to remove it.On some models the fuel tank may also actually have a drain plug on it that can be removed to remove the fuel.
If neither of these are an option for you on this here let me know so we can continue.
If more help is needed, use the reply tab to continue our conversation. Have you checked for a tank drain plug at all?
I dont have an exact diagram of this here but if you have one it should be at the bottom of the fuel tank.It should look like a regular plug that can be removed.Let me know if you see one at all?
O.k.,does this model have an electric fuel pump that delivers fuel from the fuel tank?
O.k.,when you first turn on the key do you hear a hum or buzz noise from the fuel tank area at all?
This is a gasoline engine am I correct?
O.k.,is your fuel filter located under the hood on this model?Fuel line leading from fuel tank to fuel filter.
O.k.,I dont have the specifics on this model to tell where this is located but someone else here may have this info to help.
I will open your question up for others here to see if someone else can assist further on this as there may be others here that may have more info on what to check or do with this issue.I hope you can get this resolved with ease.No need to reply to my last post here unless it is a last resort as it will keep your question locked to me and others will not be able to view it.If you feel you want to continue to work with me on this feel free to reply at any time but keep in mind in some cases it can be difficult to fully diagnose or help repair this without seeing your vehicle.
Hi im kevin a different tech are you getting rid of car ?
My recommendation for the easiest way if your not keeping would be to drill a hole in tank .there is antisyphen in pipe and it will take all day to pump it out
