06 2.2 i have excessive tappet noise i thought it sonded like diesel noise when i removed the top cover i found the rear part of the head to be dry of oil

Hi .

Okay on this engine we find that in most cases you are ether low on engine oil or the

engine oil pressure is too low , rear of cylinder head is the last part for the oil to

flow to . (So correct oil pressure must be had ).

Some case you may find you have the wrong oil filter .(check)

Very common on this engine is the oil pick up in the oil pan,may have clogged up with engine sludge

so check for possible engine sludge in the engine .

Do a oil pressure test with a mechanical pressure tester .
