I have strong gasoline odors during accelerations
JA: How old is the transmission? Have you checked the fuel filters?
Customer: (pt cruiser turbo convertible 2005) Thans for help!

Customer: 2005
JA: Are you fixing your Convertible yourself? What have you tried so far?

If you're smelling fuel it could either be a fuel leak or it could be unburned fuel leaving through the exhaust. You mentioned it happening on acceleration, if there was an actual fuel leak then acceleration shouldn't make a difference. It's also possible that you're smelling a fuel vapor leak from the evaporative emissions system.
