Customer Question

hello , i got 330ci Smg and it shows 4ef4 shift travel sensor and I cannot finnish smg adaptations. We just change the clutch and that happened right after assembling the gearbox. We were very careful so I don't have idea why that is shown and which exactly sensor is this one
JA: Has the clutch been slipping? Are you having any trouble shifting?
Customer: yep it was , and i changed the Slave Cylinder as well because of leakage . Before that it was slipping and it got worst last days thats why i replace it
JA: What year is your 330ci?
Customer: 2002
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I am just frustrated . I don't know which one is Shift travel sensor
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: the error code is 4EF4 and one I deleted it its shows again in less than a second . Now car engages very very slowly and it could not even engage sometimes

My name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I noticed that your question had not received a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here.My info is somewhat limited on your model here but I had seen no one else has responded and would like to see if I can help here.If at any time you feel that I cannot help with this please let me know.

Double check and make sure all components were installed and connected properly in your model here.I have seen issues with components or connections left loose or wiring connections loose or damaged that may cause this type of fault here.If these were already checked and found to be o.k. let me know so we can continue.

If more help is needed, use the reply tab to continue our conversation. If no further assistance is needed, kindly rate my service, your 5 star rating is appreciated. You can rate at any time and we can continue to work on your question as this will not close out your question.Keep in mind in some cases it can be difficult to fully diagnose or help repair your vehicle without seeing it and I work on delivering the best possible answer from what I see to work with.
