new turbo pipe to inlet has no hole for sensor ford says they have done away with it
JA: Which particular sensor are you asking about? And have any trouble codes been triggered?
Customer: intercooler to inlet plastic pipe
JA: What is the model/year of your Ford?
Customer: 2007 1.8 s max
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: just fitted a new pipe no faults indicated but black smoke on exceleration

My name is ***** ***** I would be happy to assist/ offer you advice you todayOk was your original concern a burst intercooler hoseI assume this has been replaced but ford are telling you the pipe no longer has the hole init for the intake air temp sensor
Was this from a main dealer and was your vin used to determine the partAs if the IAT sensor is fitted to the old pipe it must be fitted to the new one Also
Yours will be the very early 1.8tdci which has the hole for sensor
The later smax 1.8 tdci doesn't have the sensor as it is in a different locationHow long was the pipe split forWhat is your concern just nowKindest regards ***** *****
