Hello JD and sorry for the delay, when you insert the metal key into the trunk can you turn the key to the left and right? does it rotate?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
It does turn to the left but will need to check tonight after work to see if it turns to the right
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
Any ideas in the meantime ?
Expert:  Lou P replied 3 months ago.

ok so if it turns to the left we need to turn it to the 11 o'clock position and while holding it there you press in the whole keyhole and the trunk will manually pop open.

if there is a vacuum or pressure leak in the trunk lid element then that would stop operation with the remote and switch,.

Once you get the trunk open check fuses 2 and 4 and remove them and reinsert them, then close the trunk and see if it now works, if it does then listen to the trunk lid when operating to hear if there is any hiss noises indicating a leak.
