Hi I've got a 1.6 vauxhall astra of plate sxi and as I was driving it's lost power and white smoke is coming out I've checked oil it's at minimum but still there and water is OK but it sounds like it is struggling for air so at idle it stays on but realy struggling??

Definately smoke, not steam?

If tbe fluids are ok, I would get it towed to your nearest Vauxhall dealer.

Injectors can stick open and cause your scenario.

It was running normally, then suddenly did this?

Is the engine light on while running?
