My Ford Focus TDCI 1.6 has a new turbo fitted but still

Customer Question

My Ford Focus TDCI 1.6 has a new turbo fitted but still there is lack of power in the up hill.
JA: Sometimes things that you think will be really complicated end up being easy to fix with a Ford. The Ford Mechanic I'm going to connect you with knows all the tricks and shortcuts. Tell me a bit more about what's going on so he can help you best.
Customer: I have a Ford Focus Zetec 1.6 TDCI 2008, l have experienced a lack of power when climbing the hill and AA said it's the turbo. I replaced the turbo but still I have no sufficient power at the acceleration and the up hill.
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself?
Customer: What do you mean?
JA: What confuses you?
Customer: I am not Mechanic.
JA: Is there anything else the Ford Mechanic should be aware of about your Ford?
Customer: I need to know what to do when I go to the Mechanic.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Ford Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hi there ,good afternoon to you

Ok just to confirm the fault is the exact same as before the turbo was replaced

Is there just a lack of boost

Is there any warning lights or warning messages etc

Kind regards ***** *****

No warning light or message, but lack of boost.

Hi there sorry for the delayed response

Ok what does the actuator arm on the turbo do when you start the engine

It should get drawn downward as this issue is most likely down to a variable vane vacuum control issue
