What causes my hyundai tucson 2010 to suddenly loosing power while traversing a highway?

There are many things that can cause a loss of power. You may be losing fuel pressure, there may be an exhaust restriction, or the engine may be going into limp in for a number of reasons including electronic throttle control issues.

The first step in diagnosing the problem is to check for fault codes. If the engine controller is purposely limiting power then there will be at least one code set that will need to be used as the starting point for testing.
