It's possible that the issue could be with the gauge but that isn't likely.

It's more likely that the issue is a failed fuel level sending unit, but it's possible that there could be a wiring or connection issue.

It will take some electrical testing to determine what is going on. I see that it's a 2015, assuming you're still under basic warranty mileage then the repair will be covered. A scan tool is going to need to be used to first check for fault codes and the sender's signal can also be looked at. If there is an issue with the sender's signal then electrical testing will need to be done to determine whether it's a sender or wiring issue.
