Customer Question

08 transit van is a bugger to start in the mornings, not every morning though.it starts first time ,idles roughly for a coupl of seconds then cuts out,you then have to wait at least 5 mins before you do this again.the engine has no trouble turning over.Once going it works like a dream all day, starting and stoping.bin like it now for over a year, summer and winter the same, seems to be doing it more often now,and it's only in the mornings, even if you don't drive the van all day,it's starts ok to leave work and head for home.its had a new battery and fuel filter.and a couple of injectors replaced. Our local garage is now stumped,it's only done 43k miles, any help would be good. Thanks

No warning lights, dark smelly smoke on start up,fault code still says injectors, but we don't think it is,as once going it runs like a dream and we've had a couple replaced already, would faulty glow plugs cause this.Couple of friends have mentioned fuel pressure to low on start up,but strange it's only 4 mornings out of 7,although it does seem to be getting worse

Okay this is what i wanted to hear .

With it taking to long to start when cold is most likely due to the fact the injector are on start up letting in to much fuel ,

this will make it harder to start and when does start it has too much fuel to burn off .

Could you get me the malfunction codes you have for the injectors .
