Vauxhall vectra life 2008; 1.8 petrol. Engine warning light is on. It is not blinking lighting is a solid orange light. Manual says it is a fault in the exhaust gas cleaning system. Vehicle vibrates when driving. What is the fix

Hello

as you've got a solid check engine light then the next step is to get a diagnostic device plugged in and pull whatever code is stored

if the code is pointing to an exhaust gas issue its likley to be a fault with the oxygen sensor in the exhaust as thats about the only associated sensor

another possibility is the catylst is blocked and lackiny efficency

I bought the cat clean as suggested. It did not work. I have now ordered a replacement oxygen sensor.
