Hello Tony,
Having spark, and smell of fuel, would you be able to remove the air box and press open the sond plate while trying to start? and see if the engine starts?

Hello,
I'm afraid i can not speak right now... however i can explain further:
the sond plate is a round plate under the air filter box (not just the filter, it's box need removing), you can move it by pushing on it slightly, try starting, while pushing on it using the back of a screwdriver, as this induces more air, and more fuel... so while starting and depressing a bit on the accelerator pedal, push on this, to see if the engine fires...
Get back to me with your findings...
Regards,
Billy
