45: Rover 45 1.6.just had head gasket change and new timing

Customer Question

Rover 45 1.6.just had head gasket change and new timing belt.on turning the ignition on and firing the engine.it fires and then drops to zero on rev counter .however if I give it some throttle on turning to fires up and revs and drops back to 800 rpm and drives perfectly after that.have changed loads of sensors and the coilpack.no change.the far runs perfectly apart from initial startup.the has been driven to Somerset form Yorkshire twice and never missed beat.as I said once running it's perfect .it does sometimes misfire when it starts too.im now thinking it might be the oxygen sensor?
