Peugeot 306sw: peugot 306sw,radio 3035, model pu1570a,live

This answer was rated:

peugot 306sw,radio 3035, model pu1570a,live to radio terminal ok 10 amp radio fuse ok, but no power to button when switching on ,cannot therefore input radio code, any ideas

markthebooler :

Hello. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will be assisting you today.

markthebooler :

There should be two live feeds to the radio. 1 is a permanent 12v feed and the 2nd is an ignition 12v feed. You also need to check the earth is a good connection.

markthebooler :

If you have both feeds and a good ground then the radio is faulty.

Customer:

hi mark, radio worked fine before battery being disconnected and recharged after long holiday, both live feeds ok good earth, is there a separate cut off device for the anti theft device on radio.

markthebooler :

No.

markthebooler :

It should still power up so you can input code. If it doesn't power up then either you are missing a supply, an earth or it is faulty. Regardless of whether it worked before or not.

Customer:

have checked both power input and earth by multimeter its fine just seems strange that now it wont work, maybe i can borrow similar radio from local garage to try system.

markthebooler :

If you are sure you have good supply voltages and earths, then the radio must be faulty.
