have changed coolant sensor on peugeot 307 hdi 90bhp due to unsettled temp gauge. now Temp gauge settles at 83 degrees as it should be. Car is not running very well. I understand temp sensor is an ecu component. Has ecu got to be reset. removed battery when changing temp sensor. Please advise.

Good afternoon,Thank you for choosing Justanswer...My name is Jake & I will do my best to assist you.You do not need to reset anything on the ECU, although it does communicate with the ECU now the ECU see's that it is reading correctly it will erase any fault codes on its own.I hope this helpsRegardsJake
