touareg glow plugs staying on on the time. Does it damage the engine?

HelloDamage is eventually going to occur to the glow plugs and potentially the wiring circuit to the plugs, they also may become difficult to remove. As far as damage to the actual engine, no. They are seated in solid metal but the consequential damage as mentioned above is the issue.If they are on permanently then the relay, fuse or wiring is probably the issue, not the plugs themselves. Driving to a garage to get it looked at should be fine, but it needs attention asap... All the best
