martome123 :

Hello there, I'm martin from Just Answer... & I'm sure I can help you with your problem...Im wondering if this is a sudden change in the way it feels or maybe you have just purchased the car and feels stiff..sounds to me like the control cables (2 usually ) need a bit of lubrication (light oil 3 in 1 will do). the cables connect to the gearbox via a ball joint just pop them off( one at a time )hold it up as much as possible and apply the oil or grease... u will find as it gets used and works its way into the cables it will free off...worst case you may have to have new cables or linkages...the neautral spring will also improve as the actuall spring is inside the gearbox and bieng affected by tight cables/control rods...let me know how you get on.... thank you martin
