Hi i just fit a second hand engine into my 02 c-220 cdi, i took the crankshaft sensor from the seized engine and fit into the new one. im getting no electrical connection at the injectors when i try to start her up.All the electrical connections from the harness have been reconnected the same as the old one, all the fuses are ok, all earth connections are also ok. Im getting dashboard warnings which are - one yellow triangle with (!) this sign in it and the letters LIM underneath also a red triangle with a car symbol in it and the letters DTR underneath. Hello and Welcome to justanswer..Im sorry to see you have had a wait on your question - As you have done and checked all that you have - as you now have the LIM and other lights ,your next step has to be to get a code reader machine connected to the cars diagnostic socket - and see what fault codes are logged in the Ecu - that will point you to the fault/s that you have causing your non start...It could be that you have an immobiliser issue - I suspect that at this stage - but you need to do the above to progress / get this sorted for you -I strongly recommend using someone who has MB equipment or similar- mobile auto locksmiths have the equipment that can check all this for you and deal with any immobilser issues too - So you have gone as far as you can on your own with this now - it is going to need the equipment plugging on as above to trace / sort this for you now... that will one way or the other, soon have this sorted.
