Hello and Welcome to justanswer...

That doesn't make a lot of sense Im afraid -

Can you please get me / tell me , the exact code they have come up with ?

Too -exactly what type of equipment are teh using ?

Also, do you have any other faults / issues with the vehicle ?

Lastly - please give me the cars Full reg - and does it have air con or not ?

Rgds, MIKE......................................

Can't be much help. Don't know the code or tech equipment. My local chap has been onto Vauxhall but no help! No other faults. Reg YH54 XKV - air con fitted. Fault light only comes on when in slow or stationery traffic.

If there is not enough detail then please leave and I'll have to go to main dealer!

Hello again - thank you for your reply and info ..

Thats fine - thats all I need - plus it tells me that the equipment used is not using the right software and therefore coming up with erroneous faults -

This does happen sometimes- and the garage can never find the "compnenet" - because it doesn't have such !

As you have the fault light coming on , there will be fault codes logged in the Ecu - but you need to use either a code reader capable of reading "P" codes - or and ideally the Tech 2 machine -

Some garages have this -so you could phone around - or All Vauxhall dealers have this equipment - and using that will sort this properly for you for sure -

You do need the correct code - the light is telling you there is a fault - and the Ecu has logged it - but some equipment used , as appears to have been the case, literally cant read - due to software issues / incompatibilities to these engine management systems -

So do as above to get this sorted out properly for you now - that will do it no problem for you.

Im very pleased to have helped you - Let me know if I can help anymore...
