Customer Question

The male/metal part of my seat belt has somehow got behind the housing so i cannot strap my child seat into the car. I need to get under the housing (marked 'a' in picture) Panel b can only be taken off if I remove the vertical part of the rear seat, Question: how do I get access to under the housing (a) and do i need to remove seat, if so how do i remove seat, do the receptors for the headrests hold that part fo rear seat in place?? thanks Tom picture here: http://www.coastal-cottage.com/images/seatbelt.jpg How do I gain access to it? Hello and Welcome to justanswer..

You would from what you have said/ shown - be best removing the panels -

The panel "A" first - if you go in the boot - and look up under that panel - you will see its held by small attachment bolt fixings - loosen them, lift the panel out - (you may have to pull the inner carpeting from the sides to see the fixings)

I wouldn't think you will need to remove panel B after that - but if you do - that prises off - using a flat blade slid in behind the trim - its held on by push - clips ..

Im very pleased to have helped you - Let me know if I can help anymore...

Hi Mike,
Panel B won't prise off as it is held in place by Torx screws, getting access to them is impossible with seat in way, Panel A is not accessible from the boot,
regards,
tom

Hello again -

Why can you not get to the fixings for the panel in the boot ?

Relist: Answer quality.
not specific and gave innaccurate info, i.e. saying panel can be removed by clips when in fact they are held in by screws which can only be accessed if rear seat is taken out, did not answer my question on how to remove seat.
