I would suggest that you check the accelerator pedal sensor (located just above the pedal itself), and its respective wiring and connectors.
The throttle body, also needs inspections, mainly for loose connectors or faulty wiring as well.
However, since you are getting the warning light, then fault codes are stored in the system.
And these fault codes can and should be retrieved using a proper diagnostics equipment (scan tool), the fault codes should pinpoint the faulty component(s) or wiring, or at least give you somewhere to start checking.
hi billy i changed pedal but no change i do have auto diagnos machine but not been updated since 2006 anyway as the engine light went off as soon as it is restarted no dtcs show how ever its now shows falt i got this information on monitor list on autodiagnos with it connected driving only no code just communication error
