jUST CHANGED THE FUEL FILTER ON MY k74 ENGINED l200 PICK UP; NOW WONT START...|?
Hi and welcome to JA.com, i will try to assist you with your problem,if vehicle was working ok before filter change you must have air in the system, when you use the hand primer does it get hard, have you made sure that the filter is tight and did you smear a bit of diesel on the o ring, please advise, regards martin.
Does not get hard with hand primer and I have just tried 're-seating' the new filter to no avail......
Hi ok thanks for that info, it seems that the hand primer has failed, normally with bleed screw undone you press up and down with primer until it gets hard, another method that may help is to fill up the filter with diesel first then put in place, once this is done lift up airfilter lid and with someone else cranking engine spray WD40 into up in airfilter, once engine fires up let it run for about 5 mins, check for leaks,if all ok your car should have self primed itself, hope this helps, kind regards martin.
