Zafira central locking system is not working..driver door

Customer Question

Zafira central locking system is not working! Only the driver door will open. There is no sound when opening the doors like normally. Is it the solenoid? I also need to open the fuel filler flap to be able to fill up with fuel.
Thanks

Welcome to just Answer , Can you tell me if the drivers door works with the remote fob or only with the key in the slot ?

The remote fob doesn't work at all, so it's only with the key in the slot.

Thanks for that , now can you tell me if.................

Does the central locking work on the other doors with the key in the door ?

Does the LED light up in the key fob when pressed ?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.

1st question; No, the other doors do not work with the key in the door. The passenger door doesn't even open from the inside.

2nd question; No, the LED light doesn't light up.

Is there any way I can open the fuel filler cap? Maybe disconnect something?

First check for missing or blown fuses for the central locking in the box just under the steering wheel there are 3 , no.11 , 13 and 21.

If this doesn't work the car central locking control unit will need testing for fault codes at a garage to see if the control unit is responding.

I have been waiting for a Zafira to come into work to have a look at the filler flap motor but to no avail , but i seem to remember that you can get to the flap motor from the inside of the boot , if there is no access panel then a partial removal of the inner trim should get you access and you should be able to pull the pin covered by a rubber boot back and release the flap.

As a last resort the flap can also be forced open from the outside .

Good luck , best regards XXXXX XXXXX
