Hi welcome to JA.com.I will answer your question the best I can,

Timing for the 3c-t

Installation Installation

Check free length of tensioner spring is 52 mm [11].
Replace spring if necessary.

Ensure timing marks aligned [7], [8] & [9].

Fit timing belt in anti-clockwise direction, starting at crankshaft sprocket. Ensure belt is taut on non-tensioned side.

Fit tensioner spring [11]. Ensure tensioner free to move.

Turn crankshaft two turns clockwise until timing marks aligned [7], [8] & [9].

Tighten tensioner bolt [10]. Tightening torque: 37 Nm.

Install components in reverse order of removal.

Tighten crankshaft pulley bolt [1]. Tightening torque: 196 Nm.

sorry but thats not of my van .tensioner on the wrong side

Could you please send me a photo, as i've been working on theses engines for many years and the 3C-T is as shown.
Maybe i could learn something here, and be able to help you out better.

Ok so the chassis plate says its a 3c-t but we were given a 3c-te head that fits the motor. the only difference was the vaccuum pump on the rocker over where as the original head didnt have one on top.

Here are a few pictures on the engine that was in the van. Just wondering if maybe the engine in the van is not the original 3c-t or from maybe from a different year or model.

Yes its a 3C-T not the same as the Euro market this is a jap model i take it only sold on your side of the world . Thanks for posting the pic appreciate it.

I just found this image which is the same as my engine. not sure if this will help you. There is a workshop manual cd on ebay that i might be able to get. Just need to figure out the right timing mark.

Thats the same one , after looking around you are not the only one trying to get this info and no one can supple it,
Might be a good idea to go ahead and order this workshop manual cd.
