Hello and Welcome to justanswer..

Fuse 76 is not for the heater...

I will give you diagrams below to help you ..

If this is the later E 60 / 61 model .. then the diagram below is the one..

If its the earlier ( E39 ) model - then its this one below :

If all fuses are ok - then the problem is usually the heater control module - located passenger side - behind the centre console - where the passengers right foot would be - behind that centre panel....forwards of gear lever console/ area..
