I have a Siemens E 46-38 dryer and I am getting an F:09

Customer Question

Hi I have a Siemens E 46-38 dryer and I am getting an F:09 error message. We have cleaned all the filters. Any advice?
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Siemens is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: It's 4 yrs old and it's a condensation dryer. Only info on the machine is E 46-38
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I'd like to
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: That's all the info I can give st the moment

Hi, I'm Daniel welcome to JustAnswer, Im reviewing your question now and will post back with your reply momentarily

F09 indicates a heating fault.

Unplug the appliance.

Take the panel on the rear off to expose the heater thermostats.

One should have a small button on it.

Press the button firmly and hopefully you should hear a click. If you do then the thermostat has reset.

Refit the panel.

Try the machine again.

If it starts heating, check everything (filters etc) to ensure you have good airflow through the machine.

Check it out, see what you find and get back to me.

Hi thanks for the reply. I'm afraid I do not see any back panel. Do you mean remove the entire back of the machine?

Can you post the full model number of the dryer. It will be on a sticker on the inside of the door and starts E-nr
