Zanussi ZDC68560W Condensor Dryer (PNC 916096802 / 02). Belt

Customer Question

Zanussi ZDC68560W Condensor Dryer (PNC###-##-####/ 02). Belt was broken so its been replaced but now the dryer only works for 10 secs on any programme (except timed drying) and then display goes to zero. If set on timed drying, the dryer works OK. What would be the issues to work through to resolve?

Hi, I'm Daniel welcome to JustAnswer, Im reviewing your question now and will post back with your reply momentarily

Lets see what the error code is stored in there.

Set it going on a timed dry and press and hold the start button and the button to the left of it.

Keep them both held in and after a few seconds the error code will come up E??

Let me know the code.

Hi there... we are seeing a code E5E

Expert:  Daniel T. replied 2 months ago.

Thanks for that.

E5E error code is a fault on the motor inverter control board.

If you remove the top panel of the dryer make sure its upluggled.

There on the right hand side you will see a smaller circuit board. This is the diverter board. This controls the motor so you need to check the wiring going to that board and see if theres any bad connections there.

If the wiring is all ok then im afraid you are looking at a faulty inverter board itself. For this you will need to replace the circuit board there and that will cure the fault from there.
