Drum in My machine is not rotating. It stopped working last

Hi Pearl. Drum in My machine is not rotating.
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: It stopped working last Friday, a few days ago.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Ideally yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: It rotates fine if I push it manually. No unusual sounds or smells!

Many thanks - now could you give me an extra bit of information - if you look at the label in the door it will give you a PNC number that is either 9 or 11 numbers long. Could you let me have this too as this gives me the appliance specifications. Secondly how old is your machine and is the drum free to spin or slightly stiff?

Slightly stiff: perhaps there is a belt that is trapped? Squeaky when I rotate drum manually.

OK first thing to do is take off the top of the appliance - just a couple of screws at the back and then a gentle tap on the front edge and the top should lift off - once you have it off come back to me.
