Customer Question

Indesit WIXE167, the door will not open but the lock light is not illuminated
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: it gave trouble before i went on holiday 2 weeks ago, now back and the door opened ok but now it is stuck shut and machine will not operate.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: maybe if it is a simple job?
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: I am thinking if it is the door switch at fault i could purchase and fit a new one, but if it is a board or something else i may be best to scrap it and buy a new machine?

Turn off the appliance and unplug it

Remove the lid of the appliance..

Put your hand down the inner of the front panel until you reach the door lock

Protruding through the door lock is the pecker from the door; push it towards the center of the door and gently pull on the door simultaneously to open the door.

Once you have managed that, come back to me and we can then determine if it is the lock, the board, or the door
