Hi

If you pull the top basket out and look at the back inside the dishwasher you will see a bracket on the back wall.

As you push the top basket in the spray arm under the basket will lock into that bracket when pushed in.

Check that and see if its locking in correctly there. As if the top arm isn't turning then its usually that bracket as it misshapes so doesn't locate correctly into the top arm so the water cannot flow through it.

If it has misshaped try and straighten the clips out so it can lock in but if its really bad then it will need to be replaced and that will cure it.

But if that bracket is fine and it is locking into the place then the top arm itself will be the fault and will need to be replaced. As sometimes they can get a slight split in there which knocks the balance out and this stops the arm from turning. So in this case the top arm will need to be replaced.

So check them and see what you find and let me know.

Regards

We have checked the bracket, the basket seems to clip into place. We. Have tried the machine again, would a split or damage to the top arm affect the pressure of the spray coming from the bottom arm. it seems as though there isn't,t enough pressure to wash all the plate and the bottom of cups and bowls.

Hi

The top arm being faulty wont cause the lower pressure in the bottom arm. This is caused by either low water fill inside or the wash motor is faulty.

When its filled and washing open the door and just add a jug of water in there and close it again and let it carry on. See if this makes a difference with the pressure.

If it doesn't then im afraid this is more then likely a weak wash motor which all you can do for this is replace the wash motor im afraid.
