Hi

Is it tripping the electrics as soon as you plug the appliance in?

Ok for this its usually either the compressor itself that causes it or one of the defrost heaters.

What you need to do is pull the appliance out and remove the back cover at the bottom and you will see the compressor there On the left hand side of it is a black cover, Remove this and you will see the relay attached to the side of the compressor. Prise this off with a small flat screwdriver and make sure its out of the way and then plug it back in. If it doesn't trip the electrics then its the compressor at fault which will need to be replaced by a fridge engineer as that isn't a diy fix.

But if after that its still tripping then refit the relay and cover and then you need to empty the fridge and at the back in the bottom half is the rear cover. Remove this and behind there is the evaporator. Wrapped around this is the defrost heater. Disconnect the wires on there and again turn it back on and see if it stops the tripping and if it does then the heater is the cause.

Again if its still tripping you need to do the same in the freezer and check that defrost heater and see how that goes.

Try them and see what you find as for this kind of fault its usually either the compressor or one of the defrost heaters at fault here.
