Customer Question

Hi we have a an hotpoint TCD970G condenser tumble dryer. The problem is after switching the unit on, choosing your preffered dryer setting (eg. cottons), we press start and it will not start it just pauses. No matter how many times we press start it will not, it will only pause, but everything else seems fine in appearence, lights, display etc. On this model i should point out the start button is also the pause button, but goes green when you press start and amber when paused. I have read a similar post and it seem there should be some sort of microswitch in the inside of the door but we just have a tiny hole! Can't remember there ever being anything there - can it have fallen out?! Is it worth replacing (the machine is approx 7 years old)? Can you think of any other reason the machine is behaving in this way?

Hi

If you open the door and look on the inside at the top do you see a plastic pin that pushes into the hole in the front of the dryer?
