Give me a few minutes please to look up the model so I know which washer you have.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
K great
Expert:  Daniel T. replied 1 year ago.

Lets see what the error code is stored in there.

Set the washer going on a spin cycle and then you need to press and hold the start button and the button to the left of it.

Keep them both held in and after a few seconds the leds will go out.

Now the start button will be flashing.

Count the number of red flashes.

Then the number of green and let me know.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
3
Expert:  Daniel T. replied 1 year ago.

3 or what colour?

The start light should flash a certain number of red flashes then change to green. Did it do that?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yep flashed 3 times then turned green
Expert:  Daniel T. replied 1 year ago.

So you had 3 red flashes. How many green flashes did you get?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Didn't count green should I
Expert:  Daniel T. replied 1 year ago.

Not sure you have done it the correct way.

Try this instead.

Turn the dial to off.

Press and hold the start button and the button to the left again.

Keep them held in and turn the dial 1 click clockwise.

Keep the buttons held in till the leds flash then let go.

Now turn the dial 9 clicks clockwise.

Then look at the start button and again count the red flashes then the green flashes and let me know.

Then turn the washer off then on then back off again.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
4 red and 8 green
Expert:  Daniel T. replied 1 year ago.

No idea how that code came up as there isn't an E48 error code on these washers.

Lets forget about the error code for the time being.

If you set the washer on a spin only cycle has it drained the water out?

Will the drum turn at all during the spin?

Can you hear the pump running at the bottom?

Regards

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It drains but doesn't spin although it sounds like it's trying to if that makes any sense
Expert:  Daniel T. replied 1 year ago.

Ok I think you may find this will be worn carbon brushes in the motor.

What you need to do is pull the washer out and lean it backwards against a wall and have some one hold for you.

Then lie down and look under the washer and there you will see the back of the motor.

There either side of the motor at the back you will see the carbon brushes.

Take them out and see if they have worn down. If so then you need to replace them.

Then retry the washer and fingers crossed this cures the fault from there and gets the drum turning again.

Check them and see what you find and let me know.

Last time it worked it was quiet loud would the carbon brushes have caused that?
Expert:  Daniel T. replied 1 year ago.

Not really. But if it was loud then it could be the drum has failed and has flipped the belt off at the back.

Remove the back panel and see if the belt has come off.

If so refit it and retry the washer. But if it flips off again and the washer is noisy as its spinning then the drum will need to be replaced which isn't worth it im afraid as a drum is very expensive on these.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The belt had snapped is it just a matter of replacing the belt
Expert:  Daniel T. replied 1 year ago.

If its snapped then it should be a straight forward fix.

Just turn the drum by hand and make sure its not noisy or rumbling as the drum turns. If that's ok then just replace the belt and that should do the trick.

If you could also rate the answer if you haven't that would be great.

Hi

Just wondering how you got on with the washer as the question is still open?

Did you manage to get the belt sorted?
